Out on the Shelf and Out + About @ The Grove
Ages 12 – 15 and 16 – 25 (Group 1 [12-15] and Group 2 [16-25] Alternating Weeks)
Date: Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00pm*
Where: 737 Woolwich St. Grove Hubs
Description: A collaboration with the Grove Hubs offering a welcoming space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to connect, build community, and be themselves. These free in-person groups alternate weekly between ages 12–15 and 16–25, offering age-specific support, activities, and conversations. Join us for games, chats, creative activities, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

OUT²: Queer Mentors
Out on the Shelf and Out + About @ The Grove
Ages: 12 – 25
Date: Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm
*8 Week Pilot Program from March 26 – May 14, 2026
Where: Grove Hubs at YMCA, 130 Woodland Glen Dr., Guelph
Description: Queer Mentors is a welcoming, youth-focused space where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth can connect with peers and mentors in a supportive, affirming environment. This 8-week pilot program is all about building community, sharing experiences, and having fun along the way.
Each week will feature a mix of social activities, creative projects, and guided conversations designed to help participants explore identity, develop confidence, and form meaningful connections. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, find support, or just hang out and be yourself, there’s a place for you here.
No pressure, no expectations. Just a safe, inclusive space to show up as you are.

NEW!- Queer Parent Hangout
Out on the Shelf + Guelph Public Library
Ages: All ages
Date: Last Wednesday of Every Month (Starting in June 2026!)
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Location: Guelph Public Library (Main Branch), 100 Norfolk St, Guelph, ON N1H 4J6
Description: In partnership with the Guelph Public Library, connect with other 2SLGBTQIA+ parents and caregivers in a welcoming space. Build community and chat about the adventures of parenthood! Parents are welcome to come on their own or with their children. Toys and quiet activities will be available for children.
By participating in this program, you acknowledge that you accept and agree to Guelph Public Library’s Code of Conduct.
Alternative formats are available as per the Accessibility per Ontarians Act by contacting Library Communications at 519-824-6220.
Accessible programs and events
Sensory kits are available by request at library programs.
Please let us know a few days before a program if you need any accessibility accommodations so we can plan for you. For sign language interpreters we ask for a minimum of two weeks’ notice.
When registering for a program with a support person, please include them as an additional guest.
