Out on the Shelf runs monthly programming through our incredible volunteers, staff, and collaborations.

In-Person Trans Drop in

Ages 13+

Date: Every Tuesday and Thursday
Time: Tuesday 11:00 am – 2:00pm, Thursday 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: OOTS Library, Second Floor, 42 Carden St., Guelph

Description: This in-person weekly drop-in is a relaxed, low-pressure space to meet new friends, build connections, and be in community. It’s open to all Trans, Non-Binary, Gender Diverse, Gender Expansive and Genderqueer individuals. Allies may attend in support, but please remember that this space is intentionally centered on trans and gender-diverse experiences. Come as you are — everyone is welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable.

Out on the Shelf and Out + About @ The Grove

Ages 12 – 15 and 16 – 25

Date: Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00pm

Alternating weekly ages 12 – 15 and 16 – 25

Time: 4:30 – 6:00 pm

Where: 737 Woolwich St. Grove Hubs

Group 1 ( 12-15) and Group 2 (16-25) Alternating Weeks

Description: A collaboration with the Grove Hubs offering a welcoming space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to connect, build community, and be themselves. These free in-person groups alternate weekly between ages 12–15 and 16–25, offering age-specific support, activities, and conversations. Join us for games, chats, creative activities, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Description: Join us on the first Sunday of every month for a fun and welcoming afternoon of board games, card games, puzzles, and community connection! Gaymes Night is a relaxed, drop-in style event open to 2SLGBTQIA+ tocommunity members ages 13+. Come solo or bring a friend, all experience levels welcome!

Description: Join us for a cozy, creativity-filled evening! Rainbow Crafters is a monthly drop-in where 2SLGBTQIA+ community members can relax, make art, and connect with others in a welcoming space. No experience needed — just bring yourself, your crafting, and your creativity.

Description: Join us on the last Sunday of every month for a warm, family-friendly drop-in at the Out on the Shelf Library! This casual gathering is designed for 2SLGBTQIA+ families, caregivers, and kids to connect, play, and explore stories together in a welcoming space.

Each month features inclusive picture books graciously donated by Array Books, along with open-ended play, activites, and a chance to meet other families in the community. Whether you’re looking to build connections, discover new books, or simply enjoy a relaxed hour with your little ones, everyone is welcome.
