Winter Pride
Winter Pride is a collaboration between a number of 2SLGBTQIA+ community organizations to create a space where the many communities of Guelph can come together and celebrate our creativity, our resiliency, and the many kinds of love we share and experience. We plan this festival in February in recognition of the Toronto Bathhouse Raids and how they sparked visibility and activism in our communities in a way that is often compared to the “riot” at Stonewall Inn that many of us remember in June of each year.

On Friday, February 6th, Queer Night Out is beyond excited to bring Live Band Queer Karaoke to the Red Brick Cafe. One of our favourite local bands, Cowboy Medicine, and their very talented friends will be bringing their sound to the stage, they’re just looking for a lead singer: YOU! Sing alone, bring some friends, or join the group for one of our big numbers – do karaoke the way you want to. We will also have a karaoke machine to use in between sets, so if our incredible musicians don’t have your go-to in their rosters, you’ll still get your time in the spotlight.

Have you ever been interested in discovering your local history but aren’t sure where to begin? Do you have questions about the past the Google can’t answer? Out on the Shelf’s Histories and Records Coordinator is here to help you engage with Guelph-Wellington’s rich history, highlighting our 2SLGBTQIA+ community’s past. Learn about local resources available to you, how to navigate digital archives, and see how this information can be put together with a presentation created with information retrieved through these fantastic resources.

Queer Brunch and A Winter Wander
The sister groups Guelph Queer Brunch Bunch and Guelph’s Girls Gays and Theys Bike Club are coming together again to celebrate our community during Winter Pride!
Your choice of Brunch and/or wander!

Whether you’re a longtime member or a newcomer, everyone is welcome to the table! Brunch is held on the second Sunday of each month, and it’s a date you don’t want to miss. It’s a space where queer joy, silly conversations, and new friends come together with delicious breakfast foods

Walk
(Safe weather permitting) Please dress for the weather as we will be walking from City Hall along the best maintained sidewalks and back. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy the winter scenery, catch up with old pals, and make new friends. Walk will be at a wandering pace with time to look and poke at things. I usually try to have some street art viewing on our path! Winter conditions may affect accessibility but I shall be trying my best to work with mother nature and city maintenance. Distance will be determined with the group as we go.
