Gender Affirming Gear Exchange
About the
Gender Affirming Gear Exchange
Founded in July 2025 and inspired by community members, the Gender Affirming Gear Exchange at Out on the Shelf provides free, accessible gender-affirming gear to trans and gender-diverse community members in Guelph and Wellington County
The program began entirely through community donations, and while we currently receive funding from *AlectraCARES and the Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium, community contributions remain a primary source.
If you have gender-affirming gear you no longer need, you can drop it off, and if you need gear, you can take what you need. No questions asked.
Donated items not only support access for trans and gender-diverse community members but also help reduce waste by giving gear a second life.
The exchange includes but is not limited to items such as:
Binders
Shapewear
Breast forms
Tape
Packers
Gaffs
Tucking garments
To donate items or learn more about the program, DM us on Instagram or email tp-education@outontheshelf.com.
We are grateful to the community member whose vision inspired this program and helped make it a reality. Your generosity and support allow us to continue building safe, affirming, and inclusive spaces for queer and trans people of all ages.
