Become a Volunteer

Out on the Shelf is a completely volunteer-run organization.  As such, we rely on people like you to help us achieve our mandate!

Volunteers will be placed on one of the five committees:

Library:  Library volunteers help register new members, assist in locating and checking out materials and keep the space organized and clean.

Programming: OOTS is always interested in new programming ideas that will help us support our communities.  Have an idea? Let us know!

Fundraising: Do you have experience writing grants?  Are you great at seeking out new partnerships? This may be the committee for you.

Marketing: Help us spread the word about our resources and services!  The marketing committee helps maintain on social media presence on various platforms and promotes programming and special events.

Pride: Help organize the city’s biggest queer events!  Visit https://www.guelphpride.com/
